The ACH Exceptions area is a holding area for all open ACH exceptions, or items that were unable to automatically post internally to the corporate or down to the credit union member.
The ACH Exceptions card displays ACH exception in order from oldest to most recent. Corporate Users may use sorting and filtering to update table results. Click the arrow next to the column header to sort the column. The orange arrow indicates which column is currently sorting the information. Search within a column by typing information into the Search box located just under the column header, or by utilizing the column dropdown, if available. Specify a custom date range by providing From and To dates in date columns. To clear filters, click the x located in the search box, or click the Clear filters option at the top right side of the card.
The contents of the dropdown boxes are as follows:

ACH Exception Processing
The corporate User will identify and post or delete ACH exceptions. Accounting, Investments, and Operations areas may all have exceptions to review. The default view of the screen will display the types of transactions specific to the area that will review them.
- Accounting - reviews transactions designated to post to the corporate
- Investments - reviews transactions that exceed member credit unions' ACH exposure limits
- Operations - reviews transactions related to unknown accounts and corporate/member transactions to return
To review ACH exceptions:
- Navigate to Money Movement
- Click the ACH tab dropdown
- Select ACH Exceptions
- Exceptions will be displayed from oldest to most recent
Pending ACH Exceptions
ACH exceptions that need to be reviewed and processed have a Pending status.
- Click the Start button for a Pending transaction
- Clicking Start will assign the exception to the User and change the status to In Process
Corporate ACH
The Accounting area will review transactions pending to post to the Corporate.
- Select the appropriate Offset GL Account
- Provide Notes if necessary
- Click Complete
- Cancel takes the User back to the list of ACH Exceptions
Member Limit
The Investments area will review transactions that exceed member credit unions' ACH exposure limits.
- Review credit union information pertinent to the transaction:
- Transaction - Member Name, Account #, ACH Credit Amount, ACH Debit Amount, ACH Net Amount
- Percentages & Cap-
- Threshold Percentage - Total percentage of the sum of the settlement share account and line of credit that the transaction may not exceed
- Threshold Cap - Will a cap amount apply to the transaction attempting to post
- Threshold Amount - Limit of the threshold cap
- Balances - Settlement Shares, Available Credit, Net Liquid Assets, Amount Over Limit (displays in red for debits)
- Review historical information related to the member's past ACH exceptions
- ACH Items on this Exception
- Member Transaction History
- Member Exception History
- Review past exceptions the credit union member has had
- Post once the transaction has been reviewed
- Click Cancel to take no action on the exception
Unknown Account
The Operations area will review transactions with an unrecognizable account number and determine if the transaction should post or be deleted.
Posting Transactions to Member Credit Unions
- Indicate to which member credit union the transaction should post by typing Routing Number or Name in Select Member Name
- Provide a Note if necessary
- Click Post
Deleting Transactions
- Click Delete
- In the pop-up, click Delete
- This action permanently deletes the item and it cannot be restored
- Click Cancel if the item should not be deleted
- This action permanently deletes the item and it cannot be restored
If no action can be determined, click Cancel or Back to ACH Exceptions.
Missing Settlement Share
Indicates the transaction is designated for a credit union that does not have a settlement share account set up. In these cases, a settlement share account will need to be created, and then the transaction may be posted to the member credit union.
Settlement Type Not Configured
Indicates the transaction has a settlement type that has not yet been created in the Beastro system. Corporate Users should reach out to the Beastro Development team to request a new settlement type. Once the type has been created, the transaction may be posted to the member credit union.
OFAC Check
Indicates the transaction has a potential OFAC match. The corporate User will need to review the OFAC hit to determine if it is a true match. Once it has been reviewed and determined the match is a false positive, the transaction may be posted to the member credit union.
