Notifications

The Settings area has a function for maintaining notifications and alerts to members. Corporate credit union administrative users have access to the settings to create and edit notifications and alerts.  A Notification and Alerts appear on the users home page or in an email.  Notifications uses email to send contacts a notification message. Notifications are 'closed' while Alerts need to be 'acknowledged', first. Notifications are sent from corporatecu.com.  Organizations should allowlist the corporatecu.com domain in spam filter.

Notifications and Alerts

Notifications and Alerts appear in the list where you may filter and sort notifications and alerts.  Use the option on the right of each item in the list to delete notifications and alerts.

Create

Select Create New from the notification list to create new notifications and alerts. 

• Enter a Name or subject for the message title
• Enter a description for the message body

• Effective Date cannot be earlier than today and is required
• Expiration Date is required
• Name is required
• Message is optional
• Notification Type defaults to “Notification”
• Members grid only shows if the Audience Type is set to “Selected Members”.  If using “Selected Members”, then at least one filter value is required.
• Only one attachment is allowed on a notification.  If multiple files are required, then create a zip file with multiple files and upload that to the notification

Built-in Notifications 

Beastro includes the following built-in notification and alerts. Unlike the administrator controlled notifications and alerts mentioned above, these notifications and alerts are generated by certain events that occur in Beastro. The user does not directly create these notifications and alerts, they just subscribe to them so when they do occur, the subscriber will get a copy.

Built-in notifications also get created with a default expiration of 7 days. If a user is subscribed to a notification, and they do not view or acknowledge it before the expiration date, the notification will be removed from their home page.
