Incoming Wire - ISO2002

Prev Next

The Incoming Wire screen provides the User with an area to review current and historical incoming wires.

The wires area and incoming wire screen are visible only with applicable permissions.

To view historical incoming wire activity, Users will provide searching and filtering information. Users may search and filter across the following column categories:

  • Wire ID

  • Member - Your credit union

  • Originator/Debtor - Entity that originated the wire

  • Originator Financial Institution/Instructing Agent - Financial institution that sent the wire funds on behalf of the remitter

  • Beneficiary/Creditor - Entity that received the wire

  • Amount - Incoming wire amount

  • Type - Wire Business Function Code and Type Code

  • Effective Date - Effective date of the wire

  • Status - Current status of the wire

  • Returned - Indicates if the wire is related to a return

  • IMAD - Fedline wire tracking number

Sorting and filtering are available on all columns. Click the arrow next to the column header to sort the column. The orange arrow indicates which column is currently sorting the information. Search within a column by typing information into the Search box located just under the column header, or by utilizing the column dropdown, if available. To clear filters, click the x located in the search box, or click the Clear filters option at the top right side of the card.

Once the desired search information has been entered, a list of incoming wires is displayed. The User may export the list of wire information to a PDF document or Excel spreadsheet by clicking the Export to PDF or Export to XLSX button.

Users may confirm, or acknowledge, multiple incoming wires at once by selecting the check box in the far-left column and clicking the Confirm button on the upper right-hand corner. Opting not to confirm a wire does not prevent wire funds from posting to your credit union’s settlement account. When a credit union’s routing number is in an appropriate field, the funds will post to the credit union’s settlement account automatically through the posting process. Should your credit union need to return an incoming wire or respond to the incoming wire, action buttons will be available at the bottom of the wire detail screen. Options displayed will relate to the type of incoming wire.

To review individual incoming wire information, click the Wire ID. Users may export the wire detail to PDF by clicking the Export to PDF button in the upper right-hand corner of the wire

  • References

  • Remittance Information

If there is a Related Wires tab, it will display any wires associated with the request/response. Click the Wire ID hyperlink to view detailed information for related wires.

Once the User has reviewed the incoming wire information, different actions may be available at the bottom of the screen, depending on the incoming wire type:

  • Value Message - this type of wire is related to an actual funds transfer

  • Non-Value Message - this type of wire may be a request or a response related to a different incoming or outgoing wire, such as:

    • Request for return of funds

    • Drawdown request

    • Investigation request

    • Response to a request the credit union initiated

Actions available may include:

  • Confirm Receipt - marks the wire/response/request Complete, indicating that someone at the credit union has acknowledged it; wires will post to the credit union's settlement account whether or not this button has been utilized

  • Create Return - provides the User a means to return the incoming wire through the outgoing wire process; fields will auto-fill with wire information

See Outgoing Domestic - ISO20022 PACS 004 - Payment Return article for more information on wire returns.

  • Close Request - the request is no longer needed and/or no action needs to be taken; marks the request Complete and changes the status to Closed

  • Respond - the User will be taken to the wire wizard to complete the generation of one or two wires, depending on the request and response type identified and what response is appropriate for the credit union to take.

See Wire Requested Actions article for more information on wire requests and responses and how they may be easily viewed and monitored in Beastro!
