Who can request the purchase of a certificate?

Individuals assigned the Corporate Certificate Request Authority role by your credit union’s User Administrators within Beastro.

Is there a minimum purchase amount for a certificate?

Yes, the minimum required amount is visible in the certificate details when creating a request.

When can a certificate be purchased?

A certificate request can be created any time the Create Request action is available on the Certificate Offers page. Availability for a business day is effective once the daily rates are published in the morning until the corporate defined cutoff time is reached unless specifically noted on the specific certificate offer.

Where do I find certificates available to purchase?

Certificates are listed on the Certificate Offers page in the Investments module’s Corporate Certificate area in Beastro.

Will I be sent a safekeeping receipt?

Certificate safekeeping receipts will be available to print to PDF from the certificate’s account detail page by Users with the Accounts View Only role or from the documents area by Users with the Documents View Only role. Users can subscribe to the new subscription, Certificate Safekeeping Receipt, to receive an email as well as a home page notification when the Certificate Safekeeping Receipt is available.  Note that the print receipt function is designed for certificates created on or after December 16, 2024 as all data required for the receipt is now collected in Beastro.

How will the Certificate be funded?

Funds for Certificates will be automatically debited from your primary share account.

How will I receive dividend payments?

Dividend payments will be posted to your primary settlement share account. The dividend details providing frequency and timing depend on the type of Certificate and are disclosed when creating certificate request for purchase.

Can I adjust the maturity date when purchasing a certificate?

The certificate request for purchase provides the default maturity date based on the term of the certificate. Certificates may allow the maturity date to be changed and when allowed alternative dates are identified for selection in the calendar control on the maturity date field.

Can I still purchase a certificate by calling in?

Yes. For security purposes, it is strongly recommended that the new Corporate Certificate Request Authority role also be given to individuals that call in to request the purchase of a certificate.
