A key feature of Beastro's multi-factor authentication is the allowlisting of IP addresses identified as valid sources for accessing the system. Allowlisted IP addresses are required for securely viewing confidential and sensitive information. Users attempting to access the system from non-allowlisted IP addresses will be unable to access various modules in the Beastro platform. What is my IP?
An IP, or "Internet Protocol", address is a unique digital address that identifies a device on a local network or on the internet. Internet Protocol is a set of rules governing the format of data sent between devices on a network. An IP address contains location information and makes the device accessible for communication when connected to the internet.
An IP address consists of four sets of numbers, each containing one to three digits, with a single dot (.) separating each set of digits. Each of the four sets of numbers can range from 0 to 255.

Allowlisting is a cybersecurity strategy wherein actions may only be initiated on a device whose IP address has been identified and approved prior to accessing a system.
A key component of the allowlisting process is to ensure that the traffic from your organization route out the IP address you are allowlisting. While Beastro does take advantage of Content Deliver Networks (CDN) for static content, the following IP address(es) must be routed out the IP address you are allowlisting for this process to be effective. Your IT department will likely need this information if simply adding your IP address to the allowlist does not provide access.

Do not forget to update not only routing rules, but other areas such as split-tunnel VPN configurations.
Managing Whitelisted IP Addresses

Allowlisted IP addresses are maintained using dual control - one Security Administrator to enter, and a second Security Administrator to approve.
